Come Ewe Knee Kay Shun
“Come ewe knee Kay shun” or “Come unique a shun” (for you “special” people) is not always an easy thing. (For those of you in Rio Linda, if you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, read the title out loud several times without pausing between words.) In this case, on this blog, it is an easy thing. You can even do it without me or anyone else knowing who you are (if that is your desire). If you would like, you can make up a name for yourself so that people will know that you are the same person that made some previous comment(s). You can comment on your own time frame---daytime, nighttime, whenever. The way it works is as follows:
- If you just want to read other people’s comments (which I highly recommend) click on “comment” at the bottom of each post (article that I’ve written).
- If you would like to make a comment on my post, click on “comment” at the bottom of my post, type your comment in the box provided and click “publish comment”. A window will pop up to ask you if you want to comment “Anonymous” or “Other”.
a) If you want to do it as “Anonymous” just click “Anonymous” and “publish”. You don’t have to put your email address or anything. No one (including me) will know who you are (unless you tell them or give it away with your comment.)
b) If you want to give your real name, click “other” and it will ask for your name and for your email address. It will also ask for your web site but that is not required. Your email address will not be published with your comment, but I will have access to it personally if I decide to jump through the right hoops to find it. No one else will have that availability.
c) If you want to give a made up name (like “BlessedOne” or “SavedbyGrace” or something of your own choosing) click “other”. Then it will ask for your (made up) name and an email address. Your email address will not be published but I will have access to it. If you don’t want me to know who you are, I suggest you get an additional email address at “hotmail” or “yahoomail” or “gmail” by going to one of those sites and registering for it. That way you can have a valid email address that I (alone) will have access to but I still will not know who you are (unless you are from Rio Linda). That way you can have a unique name on the comments and we will have a connection with you without knowing who you really are. - If you want to make a specific comment about a specific comment, click “comment” at the bottom of that specific comment and your comment will be linked to the comment about which you are commenting. (Any comment?)
When you make a comment, even if it is on a post from several months ago, I am notified that a comment has been made and a copy of it is sent to my email address. So don’t think that a comment on an old article will not be noticed. I will get it.
I have the ability to edit your comment and will correct any obvious misspellings (even if I think you are a lunatic and your misspelling supports that conclusion). (They have been having technical difficulties the last few days and I have been unable to edit. However, as soon as they get the technical difficulties resolved I will try to get the errors corrected.) The goal here is communication.
What we are discussing in most of these posts is very important stuff. We need your input to help us see all angles. It is a great way to have a frank discussion and to “get real” without having to be “politically correct” or having to fear judgment on us personally by others. And, even if you don't want to comment specifically about the post, general comments and observations are welcome, as well. So, by all means, comment. This is a great venue for it.
God Bless,
Dennis
